Alumni Spotlight: Clemente Jackson — Turning Legacy into Mastery at Sound Academy

Meet Clemente Jackson, an artist and producer with deep roots in the music industry. Coming from a family that's worked alongside names like Trey Songz And Jadakiss, Clemente grew up surrounded by the sounds of success. But even with that legacy, he knew he needed more than connections—he needed Technical Mastery. That's what led him to take the leap and enroll at Sound Academy.

“As soon as I got to Quad, I was a little in shock.” Despite his musical background, walking into Quad Studios It was a whole new experience. “I was a bit nervous at first because when it comes to working with people, I'm not the best. But one cool thing about the class was always able to sit with other people and hear their music.”

It didn't take long for Clemente to settle in and take full advantage of the studio environment. He found the community vibe not only Welcoming—but essential. The opportunity to collaborate and network with like-minded creatives pushed him out of his comfort zone and into real growth.

Learning from the Best: A Bond with Lucho

One of the biggest highlights of Clemente's time at Sound Academy was his connection with his instructor, Lucho. “I'd give Lucho a 10-star rating for the way he taught the course. He still hits me up when students are practicing instrumental recordings. Since I play guitar, I've come back to help out.” This ongoing relationship speaks to the mentorship-driven culture at Sound Academy. “Lucho works in a way that's totally different from me, and I want to learn everything. I picked that up in the studio—it's not like I had that kind of setup at home.”

I Want to Be a Successful Producer and Engineer

Clemente's Motivation was never just about polishing what he already knew—it was about Elevating Bed. “I like to learn when it comes to music. I realized I was in a class with people who had real dedication and were investing in their craft.” At Sound Academy, Clemente found himself surrounded by driven individuals, all committed to taking their music careers seriously. That level of focus and passion inspired him to push harder.

A Future Built on Skill & Vision

With connections already established in the industry, Clemente is now applying his refined skills to real-world projects. “I've got songs with some well-known artists already. I just want to be around growth. There are a lot of people who say they want to do music, but they don't invest in it. This class was filled with people who do the work.” Sound Academy isn't for the talkers—it's for the doers. Clemente's story is a perfect example of what happens when passion meets real-world training.

Advice for Future Sound Academy Students?

“In my eyes, it's worth it—because you actually learn how to use the boards. If you don't know how to use the consoles, you're cooked. If you want to get your foot in the door, this is the place.”

What's Next for Clemente?

Clemente plans to stay closely connected with the Sound Academy community—and even hopes to teach one day. “I want to make sure my knowledge is well-rounded. I could see myself coming back here to teach in the future.”

For Clemente, Sound Academy wasn't just a stepping stone—it's part of the foundation he's building his future on.
